cali

Windows won’t let you grab a terminal’s scrollback after the fact, so cali starts logging your session the moment your shell opens, using PowerShell’s Start-Transcript. Running cali (or copyall, if you forget the short one) just grabs that log and dumps it on your clipboard.

The interesting part is why it’s a PowerShell script and not a compiled binary: there’s a full Rust version in the repo too, meant to be a proper cross-platform tool like zoxide. But Windows Smart App Control flat out blocks unsigned executables with no download history, and a binary compiled on your own machine has neither. Scripts don’t have that problem since they run through PowerShell itself, which is already trusted — so that’s the version that actually works today. The Rust code is sitting there for whenever it’s worth signing or porting to Mac/Linux.

Known limits: it only grabs output since your shell session started (not old scrollback), gets confused by fancy progress bars or TUI output, and is Windows + PowerShell only for now.
